CHANDLER, AZ, May 20, 2011 - Amkor Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMKR) today announced that it has completed its previously announced offering of $400 million aggregate principal amount of its 6.625% Senior Notes due 2021.  The proceeds from the offering will be used to fund the company’s tender offer for the approximately $264.3 million aggregate principal amount of its outstanding 9.25% Senior Notes due 2016 (the “2016 Notes”), for general corporate purposes, including the redemption of any 2016 Notes not tendered in the tender offer and the refinancing of the company’s 2.50% Convertible Senior Subordinated Notes due May 2011, and to pay related fees and expenses.
