Amkor Technology is one of the few remaining subcontract manufacturers still offering hermetic assembly services. This service allows the customer to bring their die and package to Amkor and we will assemble it to their requirements. A dedicated line is available for all hermetic assembly requirements. This includes engineers, planners and operators who work only on hermetic products and have the expertise to handle the unique requirements of hermetic assembly.
Amkor has the equipment and tooling in place to assemble a wide range of hermetic packages and is continually expanding this list based on the latest customer requirements.
Amkor's world-class hermetic assembly operation in the Philippines follows both commercial and military assembly flows. Custom requirements such as additional internal visual inspections, temperature cycling, centrifuge, leak testing and stabilization bake are available.
