CHANDLER, Ariz., Oct. 31 -- Amkor Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMKR) said today that it is planning to participate in the following investor conferences:

     * Deutsche Bank Semiconductor Conference; Four Seasons Hotel, Las Vegas,
       Nevada.  Amkor's presentation is scheduled for Thursday, November 3 at
       9:50 a.m. local time.  John Boruch, President, and Jeff Luth, VP
       Corporate Communications, will represent Amkor.

     * Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Conference; Phoenician Hotel,
       Scottsdale, Arizona.  Amkor's presentation is scheduled for Thursday,
       December 1 at 3:30 p.m. local time.  Oleg Khaykin, EVP Corporate
       Development and Jim Fusaro, Corporate VP Product Management, will
       represent Amkor.
