AMKOR ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT

As a Member of the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC), Amkor has adopted the EICC Code of Conduct, which establishes standards across several areas of corporate social responsibility, including environmental compliance. These standards have been incorporated into Amkor’s Code of Business Conduct to guide us in the promotion of sound environmental practices.

While performing our business activities, we strive to minimize the risk of any adverse effects on the environment.  We are respectful and responsible environmental stewards and therefore we must: (1) comply with relevant environmental laws and regulations, (2) work to minimize environmental hazards through the proper storage, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste materials, and (3) obtain and maintain all environmental permits and approvals required for the conduct of our operations, and the proper handling, storage and disposal of regulated materials, including hazardous waste, and (4) the timely and accurate submission of required reports concerning environmental monitoring or possible violations to proper governmental agencies.

AMKOR TECHNOLOGY, INC. EICC COMMITMENT STATEMENT

Amkor is one of the world's leading subcontractors of semiconductor packaging and test services and we are committed to the principles contained in the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition ("EICC") Code of Conduct ("Code").

To that end, we will incorporate these principles into our Code of Business Conduct and Ethical Guidelines, which addresses conduct across several areas of corporate social responsibility, including labor and wages, health and safety, environmental compliance and ethics.

Amkor is also committed to conducting self assessments to ensure that our policies and procedures are properly enforced and we will permit third party auditing as arranged by the EICC.

Furthermore, Amkor will communicate our corporate social responsibility requirements to our suppliers and will require all suppliers of critical components to acknowledge and implement the Code.

AMKOR TECHNOLOGY, INC. CONFLICT MINERALS
POLICY STATEMENT

Amkor Technology, Inc. takes very seriously the worldwide concerns that metals mined in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (“DRC”) may be making their way into the electronics supply chain and profits from this mining may be financing human rights violations in the eastern region of the DRC.  Amkor is committed to a policy (i) that our supply chain does not knowingly contribute to human rights violations in the DRC and (ii) that the gold, tantalum, tungsten, or tin that we procure from our suppliers is not derived from ore sourced from mines in the conflict areas of the DRC or illegally taxed on trade routes which are controlled by non-government military groups or unlawful military factions.

In support of this effort, Amkor:

  • Has developed and implemented procedures that are designed to demonstrate that the metals we procure and sourced in accordance with this policy;
  • Requires that our suppliers verify in writing that they have procedures in place to demonstrate that the metals they procure are sourced in accordance with this policy; and
  • Requires that our suppliers, to the extent reasonably practicable, document the routes taken and the intermediaries involved from mind of origin to final product.
