Description

Amkor Technology is currently hiring for a Sr. Manager, Design Automation for its Chandler, AZ location. This position is a senior level technical manager who provides supervision to a team of developers. In this capacity, the manager is expected to lead a team that develops multiple complex applications to meet various customer requirements. Maximize the productivity of the development team while providing technical support and training to all levels of developers.

Responsibilities also include seeking out opportunities to improve and advance design application and development technology. Exercise responsibility and authority in decision making while servicing as the point person for the team regarding contact with customers. This position is responsible for creating and sustaining effective, productive and quality partnerships between the team and customers which reflect Design Center professionalism. Act as a mentor and coach to team members while leading the team to continuous improvement in quality and productivity.

Major responsibilities of this position include:

• Manage a customized application development team that specializes in web development and customized CAD application development in tools such as AutoCAD, Cadence and CAM350
• Regularly assess team member development capabilities and provide (as needed) training/coaching and leadership to ensure all developers understand systematic problem-solving methods
• Develop applications using various programming languages
• Interact with internal customers to gather and understand requirements while participating in all phases of the SDLC for each project
• Interface with internal and external customers

Requirements

This position requires at least a BS Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

• A minimum of 5 years of multi-tier application development is required in addition to a minimum of 5 years of customized application development in a CAD based tool
• Demonstrated experience in one of the following is required: AutoCAD, Cadence, UPD or CAM350
• Application development using VB.Net, SQL Server and/or Oracle is required
• Web development experience is required, preferably with ColdFusion
• Must be proficient in Windows OS and MS Office
• Experience with Cognos, PTC Windchill or Access is helpful
