Amkor Technology’s newest facility, located in Pudong, Shanghai, provides assembly and testing of IC components for cell phones, personal computers, and other consumer products, for both the domestic China market and for export.

Recognizing that China is becoming a major center for advanced microelectronics, Amkor recently broadened its operations to include our first semiconductor assembly and test manufacturing facility in the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, Pudong, Shanghai.

The opening of this facility signals Amkor's commitment to diversify its operational base by expanding into China. The factory provides Amkor and its worldwide customers the means to provide local content to China, granting access to meet demand in a dynamic and growing marketplace.
